|A line of CO2 laser beam delivery optics for use with 25 to 200 Watt marking, engraving, and scribing lasers to meet specific application requirements is available from Laser Research Optics of Providence, Rhode Island.
Laser Research Optics CO2 Beam Steering Optics are optimized for 10.6 µm and come in 0.6” to 3.0” dia. sizes depending upon the part. Included are a wide variety of beam combiners, beam splitters, ZnSe output couplers or front mirrors, silicon and molybdenum turning mirrors, silicon and copper phase retardation reflectors, and germanium end- and zero phase-reflectors.
Providing 60-65% reflectivity with tolerances to ±1%, Laser Research Optics CO2 output couplers reflect a percentage of the beam back into the resonator for continuous amplification while transmitting the remainder to the work-piece. The phase retarders and reflectors are offered in a variety of thicknesses with different coatings to achieve the desired phase shift.
