Laser Research CO2 Precision Cavity Optics include output couplers, or front mirrors, which are made from ZnSe, primarily due to its low absorption at 10.6 µm. Providing 60-65% reflectivity with tolerances to ±1%, they reflect a percentage of the laser beam back into the resonator for continuous amplification while transmitting energy through the delivery system.
End reflectors, or rear mirrors, from Laser Research Optics are typically made from Ge with 99-99.5% reflectivity ±0.20% on the inside, to reflect nearly all of the laser energy back through the gas mixture. Both output couplers and end reflectors are available in sizes from 0.5" to 2" dia.
